I love coming to Chambar, their decor is beautiful and their Moules Frites are always yummy.  This time though, I really felt like eating lamb so I ordered the lamb shank cooked in a Tajine pot. The meat was fall-off-the bone tender. As for the taste – I don’t like fig so it was a bit too sweet for my taste (and, too sweet for my blood sugar level). My hubby had duck. He said it was ok, nothing special. I had a bite and it tasted like duck…but yes felt the flavour was a bit simple. Both dishes were very simple-tasting.  I prefer the lamb shank at Arm’s Reach Bistro or Trattoria.

For appetizers, we had octopus. Which was also ok, nothing special. There was a spicy jalapeno sauce on the octopus, which was just ok, but there just wasn’t enough and the octopus was sliced very thin. Presentation was beautiful, though.

It is a higher-end restaurant, but definitely a great place to go for a date night. They had wonderful service too, as I tried to show in my cartoon.
